Thinking about a new driveway in Hammonton? Reltar Concrete is a referral service. You send the project details. We match you with an independent provider in our network who pours concrete flatwork. The provider does the work, writes the quote and sets the schedule. Our job is to get you to the right conversation faster. Scope before price, and get it in writing.
Providers in our network pour concrete flatwork. For most Hammonton homeowners, that means one of three things.
Some providers also handle grading and drainage as part of the job. Ask what is included before you compare prices.
Most driveway projects follow the same order. Dates vary by provider and season.
1. Estimate visit. The provider measures, checks the site and asks about use. 2. Written quote. Scope, materials, thickness and price on paper. 3. Prep. Removal of old surface, grading and compacted base. 4. Pour and finish. Forms, reinforcement, concrete, then broom or stamped finish. 5. Curing. Concrete needs days to harden before foot traffic and longer before vehicles.
In regions with cold snowy winters, pouring season is limited. Freeze-thaw cycles are hard on fresh concrete. Providers often book up in spring once snowmelt ends. Request a callback to check provider availability for your window.
A short list saves a lot of trouble. Ask these before you sign.
Red flags: pressure to pay everything up front, vague scope, or a quote that only says "driveway." Foundation repair experts and concrete crews are different trades. If you suspect a foundation issue, raise it early.
Typical U.S. ranges for a plain concrete driveway run roughly $6 to $12 per square foot. Stamped or heavily decorated work often runs $12 to $20 or more. Your job may fall outside these ranges.
The main price drivers:
A written quote protects both sides. It should list the area, thickness, base, reinforcement, finish, removal, timing and payment terms. Quote, then pour.
Insurance note: some policies may cover sudden damage, but new driveways usually are not covered. Check your policy.
The work does not end when the provider leaves. Fresh concrete needs a little patience. Keep vehicles, bikes and heavy deliveries off until the provider says the slab is ready. Keep pets and kids off the surface early on, too.
Ask when to seal the concrete. Many providers suggest sealing after the slab has cured, then again every few years. Sealing helps block water and de-icing salts. Rinse off salt in winter when you can. Use a plastic shovel on snow instead of a metal blade that could scratch the surface.
Small hairline cracks may still appear over time. Ask the provider what is normal and what to watch for.
Send your measurements, photos and goals. Reltar Concrete will pass them to a provider in our network. You compare the quote, ask your questions and decide. No obligation.
